What is the point in having users?

  • I don’t simply get it. What is the point in having users registr on your site? I have AWeber on https://countyfairsusa.net and have added a sign up box at the bottom of the page. Unfortunately, for me – ther is a registration widget – I use to sign in above that on the right. I am having people register for the site and not sign up for the newsletter. I would rather they would sign up for the newsletter.
    WHAT is the point of the registration box? Why have a user register for the site? I don’t get it.

    there are several reasons, but unless you need one of these, then yes you don’t need to allow people to be able to register

    some reasons would include:

    • You use a forum plugin
    • You have content that only subscribers can view
    • You require users to be logged in to comment

    You could actually require visitors to register in order to receive the newletter.

    That way, and since they’re already registering, they would automatically receive the newsletter when they register. Or you could include a check box that give them the option of receiving it when they register.
