What is the purpose of @id in Product schema?

    What is the purpose of @id in Product schema? As far as I understand id is not a property of Product schema.
    Additional question. Could this be the reason that the Merchant Center generates its ID because of this, even though it should take the ID from SKU in schema?

    Thanks for your question. The Yoast SEO plugin doesn’t output any specialized product schema except the basic schema for product pages which has the types: WebPage and ItemPage. You can find that by checking the source code and searching for yoast-schema-graph.

    Moreover, if you want to use SKU as the product ID in the Merchant Center, I recommend using a different product feed plugin or custom code. You can also browse the?WooCommerce extension catalog?to see other options that can help.
