• A million thanks to the author for such a useful plugin. I have understood almost every aspect of the plugin except one. There is an admin page of the plugin – Admin Functions. It has a field named “Send Deactivation Message for a License”. What is the purpose of this functionality ?

Here is what I have assumed. I think it is there so that the plugin could be remotely disabled. When needed, the developer could just input the domain name of the user, click the button and the plugin will be deactivated on the user’s site. But for this to happen the sample plugin must contain the listener for this event. Right now there is no such function in the sample plugin. I think that the author of SLM wants us to build that if needed.

Here is what I dont understand. Isnt this function already provided in the plugin. I mean the developer can render the plugin disabled via the “manage licenses” page by setting the status to blocked, right ?

Also since we do not have control on the users site, this request may not work due to several reasons eg. user could have employed a security plugin which could block our request categorizing it as “suspicious request”. Then again, I could have assumed it completely wrong. Anyways I would like to know the point of this function or how it is to be used. Please enlighten me.
