• Is there a way to sort the user list by ROLE instead of…however it is by default?

Here’s how it is currently ordered:

    Page 1
    1 Administrator
    7 Authors
    Many Subcribers

    Page 2
    Many Subscribers
11 No role for this blog
    2 Authors

    Page 3
    1 Subscriber
3 No role for this blog
    1 Author

I’d like to be able to see ALL the authors, for example, together, not spread across all the pages.

I seems to take the ID number to determine the page and THEN sort each page by role, which is not very helpful.

  • In Administration > Users > Authors & Users I see all Administrator grouped, then Subscribers, etc.

Michael, that’s how I’d LIKE to see them, but they are listed (in the same area you mention) like I wrote above.

    Two questions:

Do you have more than one page of users?

Did you enter ALL the admins BEFORE you had more than one full page of total users?

As I said, it seems to FIRST use ID to determine the overall order and to set which page each item will be on. THEN it sorts each page by roll.

So, if I have 200 users and then add an admin (or author), it will end up on the LAST page, even thought he other admins are on the front page (because they were added first). If I add three admins after I have 200 users, they will all end up on the last page, but grouped together–rather than with all the other admins on the first page.
