    Hi All,

I created a few pages because I want my blog to look more like a website rather than an ordinary blog so I don’t have a “Blog” page. I also created categories to post in different tabs. When I publish a post and assign it to a certain category it displays there but I still need the “recent posts” relevant to this category to all display in their main navigation page if this makes any sense. However, they all display in a custom navigation tab even though I have a static page and I didn’t assign any page to be my posts page. Any help? I hope my question is clear.

    Thanks in advance,
    Leenah

  • Leenah,

Sorry, but I’m not entirely clear on what you need. But, you should have one page designated as your blog pages. The rest can be normal pages. You can also set up categories for your posts, and assign each post a category. Then, you can display that categories posts on a page by itself, if you like. If you go to Appearance, then Menu, you’ll see where you can add Categories as menu items. These will show a page with just the posts from that category, if you like.

    Thanks Augustin56.

That’s exactly what I have done and I’m content with it so far. The only specific thing I need is:

    – For example: I have a page called “Beauty”. Under “Beauty”, I have two categories which are “Hair Care” and “Skin Care”

    – I have another page which I called “Travel”. Under “Travel”, I have “Domestic” and “International” categories.

    – I publish my posts according to their relevance, under the “Health Care” category, for instance. But then again, I need to see this article address (link) in the “Beauty” page, not in another random page which I didn’t designate as a “posts” page. Can I do that?

Thanks for your prompt reply as well ??

    Cheers,
    Leenah

    Hey, Leenah!

I believe you can select more than one category for a particular post, and it will show up in all the categories you choose. ?? Does that help, or did I misunderstand your goal? ??

Thanks Augustine 56 but never mind haha. The posts are correctly listed where I want. Problem was I only posted one post and that’s why I didn’t realize :D, but when I published a few more test posts I found them as I wanted. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for your help!

    Cheers,
    Leenah
