What is trackback?

  • I got this message:
    A new trackback on the post “Expired Comedy (topical humor)” is waiting for your approval.

    I have no posts- my website is just lots of pages (Expired Comedy is one of the pages).

    I thought I’d turned off any ability to comment or otherwise write on my website. But I’ve gotten a couple of comments that WordPress says are awaiting approval.

    Where do they come from? How do I stop them?
