what plugin for search filters?

Hi,

I am building a website for sponsorship. So, I’d like sportsmen to be able to enter their age/level/sex/sport/etc. when they register on my site. And I’d like sponsors to be able to search in the sportsmen database using those criteria (like: “I’d like an under twenty football player, man, etc.”) to find the right match for them. Knowing that I’m quite useless at database languages, what would be the right plugin for me ?
