    I can see buttons.
    What do you mean “the buttons are missing”?

    About pagination, that is effect of style from your theme, it adds some content before each <li> tag.
    You can add this CSS to file style.css in your theme to fix this problem:
    .pt-cv-pagination li:before {content: '' !important;}
