What the easiest way to sell event tickets?

Hi.

We want to sell tickets for monthly events at our local communitay hall. We dont need to wporry about stock control or anything complex. Th emost complex thing we need is – after a ticket has been purchased – the user should receive an email with their ticket/s to print out and present at the door.

We have a Business Paypal account.

Would Woocommerce be the way to go? If so can this functioanlly all be handled in woocommerce, or is there a free plugin we could use which extends woocommerce to sell tickets?
