I would never give someone a smart answer, especially in a forum when they ask a question. Forums are for help and not sarcasm. Grow Up!

At least his smart ass response provided help, i can’t even get a smart ass response to my post, so feel lucky.

That is truly sad…. Exactly why so many are using Joomla. The support forum is one of the best around. Smart answers will get you banned.

nobody OWES you answers… but when asking for assistance, you DO owe helpers the respect of having at least googled what you’re asking about first.

It’s time to drag this tired old thing out again. Not because *I* wrote it but because I happen to believe it’s true (which is why I wrote it). But there are a couple of useful tips in there, so don’t dismiss it entirely. Meanwhile, I’ll try to remember that quite an alarming number of people are lazy, self-absorbed and impatient.

P.S. A lot of folks on this forum wouldn’t last two seconds over at CMS Made Simple’s forum. They don’t have quite the number of volunteers that this forum has and a lot of the devs man the forum there. They are bright guys and gals (just like here) and they don’t suffer fools gladly and it’s common knowledge that if it’s not a CMSMS question, it flat gets ignored. Just sayin.

Thats the last time I’ll come here and ask anyone for help. (not that any of you seem to care) How do you know what I did before I came here. I came here as a last resort after searching GOOGLE/Yahoo/ AND WP. There is a lot of mis information about this topic out there so I thought I might ask if someone else could “kindly” shed some light. I really think if someone has a rude answer or tone that it would serve everyone better to just ignore the thread. Heck just because you “know” the answer and someone else does not, does not make the other person lazy. C-YA
