• HOw dumb is this.
I can’t resize my images. not with new version for iPhone and not even on the net. I was running happily a wordpress photosite always uploading a same size photo, easily reziable through my iPhone, but not anymore, and now when I come through web to resize it EVEN THAT is Impossible. I click to edit the image and I can’t resize it. Vow, you have just made your “product” A LOT WORSE?
WTF you tinker with things that WORK! Why don’t you tinker with things that DON’T WORK! Why do you reduse my options to moderate the site…

    Dumb, just very very Dumb

    ESMI!

    READ my POST!
I’m not talking about margins! I’m talking about rezising the damn image!
So now, with this plugin, yes I can add margins but I still can’t easily resize the image…

I try to avoid upgrading from this on, since apparently you’re not making very smart changes.

@waveway2: Actually, image resizing was not removed, it was just made much simpler.

First, you need to understand how WordPress processes images. When an image is uploaded to WordPress, it creates several image sizes by default.

If you select an image in the Visual editor and click the Edit icon (looks like a stubby pencil), then you can select which image size should be used from a dropdown. That’s one way.

Now, another way is back in the Visual editor itself. Click on the image and notice that the two icons pop up, but also, 8 little white handles appear around the image. Grab one and drag to resize the image right there in the editor. When you save, that new image size will be used.

This method is the same as the old percentage way that was in the popup dialog before, in that it’s not actually creating a new image size, just displaying the existing image at that size. The popup step was removed because, well, having to resize the image in a dialog box before seeing how it looked in your text was not very intuitive. Now you just drag and see how it looks immediately in the Visual editor.
