What to Be Aware of In Doing New Install of WP?

  • Been though a day of hell in trying to recover a WP site — you can read the sorry tale here if you want https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/299913?replies=9. But it looks like I’ve reached the end of the road with the site and I’ll need to do another install of WP and rebuild the site from the ground up.

    Do I just delete the WP directory and install a new one or might there be other files that I need to be aware of or other steps I need to take?

  • I looked at your site – looks to me like it can be salvaged.

    If you just want to start over – make sure you have mysql5 and php5 at godaddy – then follow the install instructions
