What To Do If I Forget To Disallow Robots.txt in Web Development Period?

Hello, I know it’s off-topic but I am asking it from my curiosity. I have searched for this question couple of times but didn’t found any appropriate solution.
My Question: If I forget to check “Discourage search engines from indexing this site” at Settings > Reading and Google bots crawled my site’s demo contents will it be harmful for my site’s seo?
What should I do when I suddenly discover this after completing my site that I forget to check this during I built the site?
I think it’s much harmful for seo if Google bots crawl my site’s contents when I am developing it in a temporary domain (Web development environment. Such as: sub domains.)
So If I know what should I do If I forget to check “Discourage search engines from indexing this site” during I develop the site I think I can overcome all this problems.
