• Hello,

I need to put up a fairly simple registration form for an event and the first two plugins I tried weren’t so great. I’m looking for recommendations.

Specifically, I need to be able to export the data as xls or csv. Captcha integration would be good too.

I tried Formidable, which doesn’t appear to have an export function. Plus the free version doesn’t let you add an email form field, which is a drawback (is there any form that doesn’t need to validate email?).

I also tried MM Forms Community, which also doesn’t have an export (even though previous versions did as far as I can tell).

cformsII requires php 5, which my shared server doesn’t have.

Any ideas? I know I can export tables from phpMyAdmin, but I’d rather something built in. Thanks.

    Sam

Following up on this thread in case anyone else is looking for something similar.

Turns out upgrading to PHP 5 was easy, so I tried cformsII, which seemed to have an impressive set of features. I couldn’t get it working, though, and the plugin’s site was not helpful.

Anyway, I ended up going with Contact Form 7 together with Contact Form to DB Extension. This setup gave me all I wanted: multiple forms, trigger emails for user and admin, storage of submitted forms in database, and data exports. It took a little more time to set up my form, but the plugin and extension both worked out of the box, which is a huge plus for me.
