WhataApp Share Icon Not functioning

  • When trying to use the whats app share button is it taking to a whats app download dialogue page instead opening whatapps app and creating a direct link to the post to share.

    Can you help and see why this is happening?

    If you click Whatsapp share icon in a Desktop/laptop, it would trigger web.whatsapp.com, if you do it in mobile devices, it would trigger the Whatsapp mobile app. Which device are you using?

    I have the same problem with my iPhone 8 on my websites (passioneliga.com and PassionePremier.com)

    If I try to share the url clicking on whatsapp icon I will be redirected to the download page on whatsapp website and not to the app.

    Same problem here, even when using it on a phone with Android, the button is linking to web.whatsapp.com

    Are you folks having the same problem when using the Whatsapp share icon at the web page https://www.heateor.com/sassy-social-share-premium/ ?
    If not, it’s the same plugin that you have installed at your website.

    I had a pop up asking me to log into whatsapp web to share clicking to the link above. but mobile browser worked fine and took me straight into whatsapp.
    But from my blog post on mob devise it asks to download the app.
