What’s the maximum filename length for media uploads?

    1. In WordPress Core? → Found no official info!
    2. With your plugin? → Your changelog for 5.2.4 says “Fix: Limit the length of the manual filename.” but no concrete number.

    Hello @abitofmind ,

    The maximum filename length for media uploads in WordPress is 255 characters. This includes the filename and the file extension. Within Media File Renamer, the input to manually rename your file will allow you 220 characters.
