• Hi,
I just spent the weekend on W3Schools trying to learn about code and style sheets.
Still, I’m in desperate need of a Great! WYSIWYG Editor.
Checking older posts, I found this link: Geniisoft
I like the way TinyMCE demo’ed and the way FCKeditor demo’ed.
IS one better than the other? I need the one which will do the most as, again, I’m still trying to teach myself code and worry that I’ll screw the whole thing up if I start playing around with it too much (I already ruined one theme.
    What are your thoughts.
Oh, and thanks to all who’ve answered my questions in the past. I have to say I’m really impressed with this whole open-source community thing.

sorry, the original link didn’t work try this Geniisoft

Maybe I’m misunderstanding you, but if you’re learning and writing in code, why not just use the “code” editor instead of a WYSIWYG editor?

As to the question at hand, I don’t know–I use the code editor.

I’m just now learning about code. Just beginning to understand it. AWYSIWYG editor will really help, espeically with things like fonts, colors, adding images ect.
I’m trying to learn code, but it will take time and I’d like to get working on my site in the meantime.
I’m doing a lot of self-educating…tutorials, reading forum posts ect. I’m still trying to figure this whole thing out.
The only things I’ve done before are to build two web pages using Yahoo’s site builder. This just won’t do for the plans I have for my new site, so after a lot of research, I choose WordPress because it looked like it had the most to offer me and my readers. But, there is a learning curve and I really, really want to get working.
    Thanks

I have just started using Microsoft Windows Live Writer. So far I have not had any major problems and it is much easier than using the WP editor.

    Here is one review

I checked out Live Writer, but, and I hate to admit this, I can’t use it as the requirements call for Windows XP ect and I’m still using 2000.

Come to the light GhgoWriter, come to the light!

    I know, I know…Hey, I’m thinking Mac

What I’m listing as my promising candidates on my “Editor” scratch page in Wiki are these:

AreaEdit, spartan and well behaved from FormVista (modified BSD?), and perhaps ManInBlue (gave it only a quick looks but it seemed sweet).
