What’s the status of privacy shield certification?

    Dear team of wordfence!

    I know that you are already meeting GDPR compliance. But I found several comments where you announced that you are in the process of getting the US/EU Privacy Shield. That was in the beginning of June.

    Is there any news on this? Is there still a chance that you will get the Privacy Shield. Or is that off the table?

    It’s still happening. We’re working on it. I can’t give you an exact date but it should not be too far in the future!

    that’s good to hear. How will be informed? Will there be a newsletter?

    I don’t know for sure but I think we’ll likely do a blog post and an email. If you are subscribed to our newsletter, you get an email every time we post so you should then be able to find out that way.

    Like @dianimation i’m also waiting on the Privacy Shield. I subscribed this topic to stay informed. As @wfasa mentioned, you’re in progress, but it is not yet achieved, right? So, why are you closing this topic, although it is not yet resolved? Should we now open another topic titling “Get Privacy Shield done”?

    We resolve threads after a few weeks so we can keep track of where we still have work left to do. We can not help you anymore with this specific issue so opening a new thread will not help. When we’re privacy shield certified, we will let you know via our usual channels (Blog, Twitter, and possibly notice in the Wordfence plugin).
