What's the syntax for using the id argument?

Trying to display child pages by specific id but it’s not working.
I tried:
`[child_pages id=”459″]’
But it’s not working. Shows nothing even though there is a post with that id. I tried:
‘[child_pages id=”458, 459″]’
This resulted in displaying a lot of pages that aren’t even child pages.
Am I using this argument incorrectly?
