What’s up with wp_head()?

  • I’m doing my first wp site, modifying the default template. I found that I couldn’t get my own banner to show until I deleted this line of php:

    <?php wp_head(); ?>

    Am I going to miss it? Does it have some function that is going to trouble me down the road?
