everytime its being redireted to something else.. please help me

It looks like its not connecting to the database. Open your server files via FTP editor and look at wp-config.php. Look at the database name/user/password and make sure everything is correct.

I am not able to connect it via FTP too !

    ok – slow down
it looks as if your wp_options table is crashing in the database
login to host’s phpmyadmin or if at godaddy (looks like you are) use the db manager
run a “repair” on the wp_options table
or ask your host to do it for you

I ran the repair and it says the status is good
Now the site itslelf is saying
    Error establishing a database connection

    Error establishing a database connection

that’s what it was saying when I visited
if all the info in your wp-config.php is correct, then the db is crashing – talk to host

if website was working and you didn’t touch or change anything in wp-config.php something with db is going on – may need to contact host

also, you might look in wp-config.php and index.php and theme’s header.php and index.php for signs of a hack

@ samboll .. Thanks for helping. I have mailed the host about this.
Also please can you please let me know what file permissions should i set to the folders such as wp-content ?
and also how can my blog be made more secure ?

as a general rule folders should be 755 and files should be 644
there are several ways to help secure your blog
    https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Hardening_WordPress
do any changes one at a time – testing your blog between changes
all of these are tried and true

    (this is for another blog)
I have installed the WP – Security Scan plugin and when i ran the scanner it shows that i need to change the root directory chmod to 0755 which currently is 705.
I am using filezila and i try to change it by rightclicking the root folder (/) and keeping the file attributes to 0755 but its not fixed yet. Can you please let me know how can i do that ?

that should work in filezilla but host may have it set for root to always be 705
if configured correctly, 705 would work

    (@musicvl)

SO i dont need to make it to 755 to make it secure ? bcoz its showing in red ??

Hi any can you please help me ? its still not working ..
I mailed the host and they replied me as

I have tested and confirmed that the database connectivity for your account is working properly at this time. Please confirm that your site’s code is usig the correct information for the database connection.

Do not use “localhost” as the hostname (or database server) for your database-driven Web sites. Once you have successfully created a database, your host name displays on the Database Information page of your Hosting Control Center.

To Find the Host Name for Your Database

First, you will need to login to your account.
    Once logged in:

? In the My Products section, select Hosting Account List.

? Next to the hosting account you want to modify, click Manage Account.
? In the Databases section of the Hosting Control Center, click the icon for the type of database you’re interested in.

? From your list of databases, click the Pencil icon next to the database you want more information about.
? The Database Information page displays. You will find the host name for your database on this page.

During the database setup process you chose a password for that database. You will need this password to access the Database Manager. You may change this password at any time using the Hosting Control Center.

The question What should i do now to work ??

    Oh i connected it,
    The error was in wp-config.
    I fixed that…
