When 100 % done, It still looks like is has not finished

  • Was confused when the plugin did not say, “Done” or “Finished,” How was that overlooked?

    As you experienced few issues, please try to switch backup method:

    1. Go to “Other options” section
    2. Change backup method: https://prnt.sc/1s1ofpa
    3. Disable PHP CLI checking: https://prnt.sc/1sljr31
    4. Save “Other options” section
    5. Force stop both processes: https://prnt.sc/1trv1tm

    It’s possible that you was not able to receive success window due to lost connection with server, with default method backup can run in background, so if your PC will go into sleep mode or you accidentally close tab with progress, it won’t be cancelled.

    Above suggested method uses browser as middleware for the backup, usually it’s more stable and changes the way how success window is determined.

    My huge apologies, I didn’t notice earlier, that it was review for WP Clone.
    Please ignore the solution I provided above, it was for new version of WP Clone.

    Thank you for your response. I am confused, you say a new version of WP Clone – I just added it from the WP repository – why not give the version number to make the communication better understandable?

    Secondly, the steps you are asking to take are unusual when you consider the many database plugins – where there are no addition steps.

    Backup Migration is officially WP Clone but it’s up to date with new coding standards and technologies.

    Thank you for our response. “Backup Migration” is the new version of WP Clone? The confusing part is that you show “WP-Clone” references within “Backup Migration.” “Backup Migration” does complete correctly.

    Would like to see the size of the backup file – it does not show.

    For (new) Backup Migration you can see size of backups in “Manage & Restore Backup(s)” tab.

    For WP Clone it should be visible directly in plugin options (as well on backups list).

    Could you please, let me know how we could make Backup Migration less confusing for you /and new users?

    Thank you for your response. I think, would be more convenient to have the db size in a table view – this would allow the user to quickly compare other saved versions with the current one.
