    This i strange. If ACL plugin is active all author (user) pages are set not to be indexed by robots.

    This is set in header of each user page:

    <meta name='robots' content='noindex, follow' />

    How can I disable that (other than removing plugin)?

    I want author pages to be indexed.

    That is very strange. I am not sure how this plugin would affect that in any way.

    Can you confirm that this is the case will all other plugins disabled and using a built-in theme like TwentyTwentyThree?

    Well, i did turn off al plugins and found out that only this one causes this behavior. I did not try to switch theme. I am bit scared that may mess my site.

    I just tested locally with only AQL and TwentyTwentyThree active and am seeing the same issue. I’ll dive into it and see what I come up with. Thanks for reporting it!

    OK, I think I figured it out. There was a case where the s parameter was being passed but it was empty. However, if that is set then WordPress thinks a search is being done and will add the noindex rule.

    I’ll release this will some other minor fixes shortly.

    This should be addresses with 1.4.2. I’ll close this out but if the issue persists, please let me know!
