For me to solve an issue, it helps to leave it on there for a bit.

Even though you seem to not get the DeviceSupport error video using the old API, which is odd, it will eventually not work anymore. At some point the issue will need resolved. Just an FYI.

I went the the link and found your playlist but when I test it, on a live and local testing site, I didn’t have any issues.

The problem in your warning message in wordpress dashboard

Hi kentfarst.

I’m experiencing the same issue.

I’ve followed you steps to setup the V3 API (very helpful) but I receive a blank page where my YouTube playlist use to display:

Here the page in question

Do you have any suggestions? Is it working for you off your local copy?

Hmm, looks like the API request is failing. The shortcode works fine for me which makes me think it’s a wrong setting in the project. But for now just disable v3. I’m going to run a couple tests. I think I might know what is going on.

Can you try out this API key and tell me if it works?

Ok. The only thing I could find is that you might have skipped step 5 in that you never actually enabled the YouTube Data API v3.

The only other possibility would be that your allowed referrer is incorrect. Test this by going back to the developers console page and
go to Credentials
click Edit Allowed Referrers
delete the field’s content.
This would allow any and all websites to use your key. So I’d only try this as a test.

It’s Work Perfectly! Thanks

Hi kentfarst

I’ve updated the API key with the one you’ve provided, and the media page is back up and running, which gives me some peace of mind to know that the issue is now on the Google API side of things (as you’ve indicated).

I have then set it back to my api key and cleared out the referrers (as you’ve suggested) and the media page is working.

I adjusted my Referrers to the EXACT pretty URL where I’m using the WP Theatre plugin and its working now.

Thank you very much for your assistance.

I had the same issue, changing the referrer to anyone is allowed fixed it for me ?? Thnx for this!
