when font changes no longer responsive

as you can see the header font is horrible, but i love everything else. when i go to it on my phone it is responsive and looks amazing. my problem is, i just can’t figure out how to change the header font without screwing up how it works on my phone. ??

I’m not sure what you tried, but try adding this to custom CSS:

.basic #site-title a {
    font-family: .....;
}

Make the change you want there. If that still does not work, please post on the theme’s own forum here:

i am a newbie so sorry if this is a dumb question…but do i copy and paste EXACTLY what you wrote? or after the font family do i need to put in a font like arial or verdana?

Yes, you need to put the font you want in there – like:

.basic #site-title a {
    font-family: arial;
}

that changed it…looks great on the phone and website, but still on the phone it becomes “wobbly”…don’t know if that makes sense.

Looks like that’s how it’s supposed to work – it resizes so it’s visible/usable on a smaller device. That’s pretty typical of a responsive site.

ok i changed it back…now check it out. you can see the difference. now it “locks” in place so when you scroll down or up it doesn’t wobble around.

i am trying to achieve this “locking” thing while changing the font like you just taught me to. it seems i can either get one or the other but i need them both in order for it to be effective.

Looks like it behaves the same to me – at least on a resized browser window – I don’t have a phone right now.

yea that’s the thing…to really see what i mean you have to see it on a phone (i’m looking at my iphone for testing). this is driving me nuts i have been working on this for four days now…reading every tutorial i can and even going to the theme creator’s website and can’t find help.
