I have checked again and again. I can’t understand it, there is only the one form “Contact Form 1” and that is the only shortcode on there. I wondered if I was pasting it in the wrong place but I can’t see how I possible can be, I even followed a video tutorial I found. I also tried creating another form myself, using the code someone else on another form had used, and it still didn’t work. I may try reinstalling the plugin… At a complete lost end.

Reinstalled the plugin to no avail. Everything else is displaying correctly on the page. I wondered if perhaps it wasn’t compatible with the theme but a message actually came up (before I reinstalled it again) saying this theme requires Contact Form 7 and prompting you to install it.

Send the screen print, the form page, and the page you want to add it.

Sorry if it’s a stupid question but how do I attach a screen grab to this thread?

Mano takes a screen print, if you use windows 7, 8 or 10 uses the capture tool and makes ulpload in imgur.com and send the link here.

click link and add the url

Let me know if you can’t see the link. Any comments welcome!

    I’m see.

Okay, everything looks right. Try the following:

First erifica if the Contact Form 7 plugin is enabled.

If you still remain, activates the original theme, twentythirteen and see if it still appears the error. Appears, try the following:

Go back to your custom theme, disable all plugins except the contact form 7, and checks if it worked, it has worked, will activating the plugin one by one and will checking whether the form is ok, if you activate a plugin and der the error, it is because it is going conflict with the plugin, then changes or see another solution.

Thanks, sand20. I tried switching themes, then switching back and disabling all plugins – Contact Form 7 still didn’t work. When I changed back to the other theme even more of my other codes displayed incorrectly on the page.

Wow! Your website is on localhost? Well, I have no knowledge about it … I close here .. If you are on localhost, try to reinstall wordpress, and the new theme … Why so the contact form was to be working normally on the original theme coming in wordpress … Try it, or waiting for someone to answer here … My knowledge were already hehe

I have my own host and domain, if that’s what you mean? No worries, I will keep trying to find a solution… Thanks for your help sand20

    Where are you pasting it?

This can occasionally happen if you paste the shortcode in Visual editor or in widgets etc. Use it in the text editor, and you should be ok.
