    Hi,

    thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

    The reason for this is that the data type can not be imported from real .xls or .xlsx files (the Excel file format is very complex). Could you therefore please save the table to a .csv file in Excel and try importing that into TablePress?

    Copy the xls or xlsx file and paste it in Manual Entry on the Import menu

    yes, this copy/paste could also work, but CSV should be the most robust approach.
