When I “reply” to a comment – it doesn’t go to them

    When I receive a comment on the website – and I “reply” to them in the comment section – they do not receive my answer.
    I have it set so that all comments are held until I can approve it, but MY REPLY to their comment is posted on my home page. Just MINE.
    I am not really a “blog” – and do not want to show all of the comments.
    I have gone through the settings many times, and I cannot see why it would do this.
    How can I get my “reply” to go to the person who commented?
    I have tested this with friends – and the reply never goes to the person.
    Please help.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?
