• Elementor Pro version installed.
Installed this plugin and now trying to add a loop.

I get a dialog box saying

Sorry, the content area was not found in your page.
You must call ‘the_content’ function in the current template, in order for Elementor to work on this page.

    I am using Astra theme.

  • Same problem here with Hello Theme using latest Elementor 3.4.6 & Elementor Pro 3.4.2. When switching to Twenty Twenty-One I’m able to add a loop. I can then switch back to Hello Theme and use it but cannot edit it after so it’s really useless. If it should work with a theme it should be Elementor’s Hello Theme!!

@meerab1, I found a workaround. After adding a loop and getting the error you will find a draft loop sitting in Templates -> Theme Builder -> Loops. Do a Quick Edit to change the Template from Default Template to Elementor Canvas. Then you will be able to edit in Elementor.

@dudaster Maybe making loops default to Elementor Canvas would prevent this issue. Please fix in next version. Unfortunately this workaround does not work for grids!! Please fix!
