When I type in my website https://www.namehere.com it shows with a %20 in the middle of the web address and brings me to a cannot be found page.

I saw similar issues on the forums here. I tried to edit the file with a notepad in my WP directory but still no luck. I added the lines correctly and outlined in a thread I saw previously… But it still gives me the %20 in the address bar.

Can someone please assist me in this issue? Thank you.

  • Check your WordPress configuration and make sure there are no spaces in the Site URL.

URL encoding normally replaces a space with a plus (+) sign or with %20.

Thank you for the reply Trav. I am having some difficulties verifying it.

On my WordPress admin panel, it shows no spaces in either address.

So now, I need to check the config files, correct? What do I do from here? So sorry for the lack of knowledge – I am new to web hosting and everything related to it as of last week.

I have come a long way though and have extensive computer background. Need a little more info though. Thanks

    This is my website:

    Blog.thetrustedconsumer.com

but it throws a %20 in the middle… And I followed 3 different articles on how to prevent it. :'(

Sorry for so many replies… No edit button I can see:

I only experience this issue when I type

“blog.thetrustedconsumer.com” in my URL. The actual page loads fine… But when I type that in or click a link that I link like…

Oh my gosh… Thank you for the support guys. There was an issue with my redirect that had a space in it somehow. I solved it. -_-
