  • Hi @kddt,

when i update WooCommerce version 7.4 to 8.3.1 all the sales and analytics data gets lost and becomes zero when i roll back to the older version everything comes back how to solve this issue kindly help?

From what I understand, you’re experiencing a problem when updating WooCommerce from version 7.4 to 8.3.1, where all sales and analytics data seems to disappear. However, when you revert back to the older version, all the data reappears. I’m sorry to hear about this inconvenience.

Firstly, I would like to stress the importance of creating a backup of your entire site and database before performing any major updates. If you haven’t done this prior to updating, I would strongly recommend doing so immediately to safeguard against any potential data loss.

I’ve tried to replicate your issue on my own site, using the latest versions of WordPress, WooCommerce, and our free Storefront theme, with no other plugins enabled. However, I was unable to reproduce the problem you’re facing, as all my analytics data remained intact.

Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

    1. Clear your cache: Sometimes, outdated cache can cause display issues. Clear your browser cache or try viewing your site in a private/incognito window to see if the issue persists.
    2. Reimport Historical Data: You can do this by going to WooCommerce > Status > Tools and clicking on the Reimporting Historical Data button.
    3. Update Plugins and Themes: Ensure all your plugins, themes, and WordPress are up-to-date. Sometimes, outdated versions can trigger issues
    4. Deactivate other plugins: There could be a conflict with another plugin that’s causing this issue. Temporarily deactivate all other plugins and see if the issue persists. If it resolves, reactivate each plugin one by one to identify the problematic plugin.
    5. Switch Themes: Temporarily switch to a default WordPress theme such as Storefront to see if the issue is related to your current theme. Here’s a handy guide on testing for conflicts: ?? How to Test for Plugin and Theme Conflicts.

If none of these steps solve the problem, could you please share your site’s System Status with us? This will provide us with a better insight into your site’s setup and help us diagnose the issue. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support.

Also, if there are any fatal error logs, we’d appreciate it if you could share those too. You can locate these under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

Once you’ve gathered this information, please paste it inside a Code block in your reply, or use https://pastebin.com to paste it and share the link with us.

Thanks for your patience and cooperation in this matter! We’re here to help you get this sorted.
