When looking at a post all text is bold/strong

  • When I look at my primary index.php root of the site all of the posts show up the way I would like them to, yet when I select one of the posts and it switches to viewing one post instead of my main root all of the text on the site increases in size and/or becomes bold.

    I attempted to search the forums and support pages on this matter but haven’t been able to come up with anything. I am a person who prefers some consistency and if I can manage to get this fixed it would be wonderful.

    I am using a modified version of the goldengrey theme though i can not find any unclosed instances of bold nor strong in any of the files including the header.php.

    When returning to the main home page all of the text is returned to it’s original non-strong style.

    I have tried deactivating all plugins to see if one of them might be the cause but it was to no avail.

    If anyone knows of how to fix this I would greatly appreciate it.

  • I would look at what CSS styles are being implemented in your single.php file, and then find that style in the styles.css file. If it says something like:

    font-weight:bold

    … just delete that part.

    I’ve already tried removing all (font-weight: bold;)’s from the style sheet, sorry I forgot to add that to my post.

    it certainly would be helpful to have a PAGE to look at when diagnosing this problem (would seem somewhat obvious to me). im afraid my psychic skills are rusty, dont know bout anyone else.

    I had this problem several times when I downloded text from microsoft word into a post–it distorted all the articles on the page and enlarged the size. When I deleted problem text. Everything went back to normal. On another occasion I edited the post by going to the end and hit the delete button 20-30 times then published and it was back to regular size. Hit delete 1 or 2 times for every line inserted. It works sometimes, don’t know why.
