When opening a page or post to edit I get thrown back to home page

It might be a problem with your caps lock?

Otherwise, I’m not sure about that problem.

This is due to “frame busting” javascript in your document head resetting the frame when the preview of the post comes up in the post editor. If you’re using Semiologic’s Framebuster plugin, updating it should solve the problem:
