When I activate the plugin I can’t log-in to my account. I removed the plugin and everything works OK.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @jeffreyls

When the plugin is activated, it activates it’s authentication system. See here “login setup” https://docs.wpusermanager.com/article/20-general-settings

By default it enables email only. So you’re probably logging in with the username and correctly telling you that the credentials are wrong.

You need to configure the login method as described into the documentation.

Since I’ve received this question many times, in the next update, upon plugin installation the default method is going to be username & email.

Not sure if this is affecting the thing.

I have BBPress installed. So I need to log-in as admin. While other users can register and login as a user.

When I activate the plug-in I go to the user login page… not the WordPress admin log-in page. Hence… I can’t log-in as Administrator.

Also, I’ll check your “General Settings” page and see if that fixes it.

BBPress does not make a difference. When WPUM is installed, it changes the login, password recovery and registration URLs of WordPress. When you try access wp-admin, you’re redirected to the WPUM’s login form which will then redirect you back to the admin panel. You’ll notice the url in the browser will have a “redirect_to”.

    Hi Alessandro,

Tried changing login to email/username but still not letting me log in. Somethings not right.

Looks like it’s conflicting with ithemes-security-pro. When I turn if off and remove ht access it works.

Is the old version of wp user manager still working OK? I might be better off using that.

    Hi @jeffreyls,

I’d like to solve the issue instead of relying on outdated versions of the plugin. Can you send me an email at support[at]wpusermanager.com? I’ll provide you a modified file of WPUM’s authentication system to see if that’s sorts the issue for your case, so if it does, I’ll include it into the next update planned for release tomorrow.

    eMail sent.

Thought I had it working, yesterday.

I installed a couple of plugins today… now, when I try and go to the WordPress dashboard I get an error saying it can’t find “wp-admin” path.

I have spent way to much time on this. I will uninstall and check back in a couple of months and check comments.

Thanks anyway for making this available.

    Jeff
