When sharing on Social Media Images not showing

    I have a weird problem. Whenever someone share my post on facebook, twitter etc, my og: images do not show up. I am using Yoast SEO plugin and have uploaded images for these social media. Also these images are there in the folder but if I type the image url directly in to the browser it gives 404 error.

    Image URL here <<<< Note this image is there in Folder and show up in wordpress media as well as via FTP.

    I already tried plugin deactivation, but it did not help.

  • Is this happening to all images or just a few?

    You might have a permissions problem in the uploads folder. You should check with your hosting company.

    Yoast has a specific field where you can point to the image you want for social networks. But the image has to work first. I would try to re-upload the images and check in the media library.

    If this doesn’t work again, contact your hosting company and ask if there’s some kind of permissions problem in the WordPress uploads folder.
