When Splitting Cart into Shipping Classes in stock string returned as lowercase

  • We are splitting by Shipping Class and Post Meta: _stock_status. When we split the cart, the shipping class appears for each item just fine, but when it splits the cart using the Post Meta: _stock_status, it returns the text on the cart page as lowercase; instock, onbackorder, etc. I have tried many things to change this string, but cannot. I want it to read like “On Backorder” instead of “onbackorder”. Is it possible to change this?

    yes, that makes sense that you see them in lower case, the reason is that these values are stored like that in the post and they don’t have a label. They can be any arbitrary data.

    We have marketplace cart add-on for shipping packages plugin which lets you customize package name, so you should be able to remove stock value from the name.
