    Hi,

I have installed your plugin and have set it all up for website (nearly live).

I did a TEST order, and seemed to go through OK, client account received its test $0.50

But I noticed when I did the order, my cart items was only $0.50 but when I got to checkout and pay for Stripe and completed, the total of the Woocommerce order was now $1 … in the email to customer and order confirmation on the screen both say $1.

Before that it still only showed $0.50 which is what it should be in total.

When I go to Orders screen it shows total $0.50 but then I go to the Invoice and it says $1. (So therefore in 3 different places it says total $1 but doesn’t say where the additional $0.50 came from or what it is.)

    Very strange.

Does the use of the Stripe plugin then add a fee in the Woocommerce area of the Cart that I can’t see ?

I have tested this twice now and does the same thing.

So something has added $0.50 to the total to make it $1 in total.
Stripe only received $0.50 but total order that TEST client receives says $1.

This is very strange and I haven’t come across it before.’
Urgent issue to fix, but no idea why it is doing this or what has caused it.

When I order another product and just pay via PICKUP and no stripe, there are NO issues total order is correct through to the end.

So it is just when STRIPE is the payment method for paying and order completed.

If someone could advise how I could fix this would be great.
Has anyone else come across this issue. I have been googling for hours and cannot find anyone else with the same issue.

    Thanks
    Kristin

@kristinubute Most payment gateways setup a minimum amount per transaction. For Stripe, it is recommended that you test transactions above $1.00

Can you try with placing orders that are above $1.00 in value? Let us know if you continue to experience issues even with these orders.

    HI,

    Thanks for your reply.

We have just placed another order $55 with Freight $16.50 and it says the total is $72 when it should be $71.50

So it is STILL adding $0.50 to the total ONLY when doing order via Stripe ONLY.

The sub-total is correct when showing on the screen in Cart and Checkout for total $71.50 but after you choose Stripe and process … and the receipt on the screen changes to total $72

And receipt that customer received via email says total $72 on Purchase confirmation.

What could be causing this ?
    Very frustrating.

Here is copy email sent to customer below:

Just to let you know — we’ve received your order #2527, and it is now being processed:
    [Order #2527] (July 15, 2020)
    Product Quantity Price
    Sandbag (Empty) 1 $55.00
    Subtotal: $55.00
    Shipping: $16.50 via Freight Sandbag
    Payment method: Credit Card (Stripe)
    Total: $72.00
    Note: thank you!

Please advise how to rectify this issue.

    Regards
    Kristin

    HI

I have the website in maintenance mode, where can I send it privately as I would need to give you login to backend to see frontend as using “Under Maintenance” plugin.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Just to clarify, the amount that Stripe receives $71.50 is correct on test.
Woocommerce/Orders ADMIN in this area it displays correct as $71.50

The actual Invoice AND email that client gets from Woocommerce regarding order (copied above) is INCORRECT displays $72

The display BEFORE the client has clicked on “PROCESS” after choosing Stripe shows $171.50, then on the screen afterwards displays $172 when completed.

It doesn’t matter what product I choose or my test product, it is always a $0.50 difference and ONLY when choosing Stripe as payment method.

If I choose pickup or other method OR direct deposit, there are NO issues at all.

    Thanks
    Kristin

I think I have just figured it out temporarily.

It is when the “INLINE CREDIT CARD FORM” method is ticked in the Stripe settings .. which then causes it to add the extra strange charge of $0.50

Obviously it shouldn’t be doing this though.

I have unticked that section and works normally now with the total.

OK, so since the gateway is processing the right amount, it sounds like there might be a rounding issue with how the order complete template is being loaded.

This kind of problem is usually caused by either a conflict with your theme or with another plugin.
    ?
The best way to determine this is to:

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.
