When submitting a form, it reloads the page completly in safari

Where can we see the site?

Do you have a backup copy of CF7 4.7? There is a know issue with version 4.8 and you will most likely need to rollback to 4.7 to get this working again.

Is is really an issue on the iOS devices. I downgraded the plugin for the time being and all is working fine now. I want the latest version to work with the iOS devices. Thank you.

@takayukister it comes from if ( typeof window.FormData !== 'function' ) { test which doesn’t work with Safari. if ( typeof window.FormData === undefined ) { seems to work better.

Finally I see someone stepping in. So many users and no one that is seeing this issue?

@antoinew you can confirm that this is happening on all safari browsers?

I confirm that I saw it in Safari and iOs. The change I shared above did the trick in /wp-content/plugins/contact-form-7/includes/js/scripts.js

experiencing the same issue for Safari – @antoinew fix works for me too, would be very useful if @takayukister can add it to the code as well, so we don’t have to update for each plugin update..

8 months later, we are on version 5.0 of contact form 7 and this issue is still present.

Hello! Make page on DIVI theme with popup with ContactForm7, on Ipad with IOS 8.4.1 i found a problem: after submit form, all pages reloaded. Confirm this trouble. How can repair this?

I can confirm the bug for iOS 9 (e.g. iPad 3 which does not get updated any longer). On iOS 11 (most current version), AJAX form submission work.
@antoinew code edit did the trick. It would be great if it can be part of the next release.
