When translation is in bin

  • Hey
    The problem is when you move to bin your translation, orginal post still links to trashed post. If you click on it (pencil icon) you got WPdie. Good idea would be:
    – change to disabled icon
    or
    – change icon to “restore” – on click -> confirm box
    or
    – change icon to “create new translation” when old translation is in bin and when new translation is created – update translation id for specific language.
    or
    – second and third option at the same time ??

    other issue is:
    when you create language switch like this:

    pll_the_languages(array('display_names_as' => 'slug', 'hide_if_empty' => false, 'hide_current' => true));

    when you are on a page, with existing translation in bin, language switch links to that page. When you click it you got 404 error. I think that this problem only exists if you are logged in.
    Ive made workaround in ‘pll_translation_url’ filter but is there possibility to fix it in plugin?
