• When trying to login into my WordPress Installation, this is what popped up instead of a Admin Interface? I don’t know how to properly fix it. Is there any help??
What came up on the screen:
Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/tree/public_html/talkingtree/wp-config.php:34) in /home/tree/public_html/talkingtree/wp-login.php on line 123

  • When you edited the wp-config.php file before installation, it may have inserted an extra space before <? php tag or a space after ?>. Try re-uploading the wp files and running install again.

Not strictly necessary. This is the shushbh effect. It is quite harmless. Just ignore it and click on the link below the gobbledegook and it will go in fine. As many will tell you.

It is very much a serious thing, and it should NOT be ignored. While seemingly a member of the Shushbh Effect, I think Junesix hit it on the head. 99% of the time this error pops up it’s because some “omnipotent” PHP editor added a blank line following the closing ?>. This is a problem as it prevents cookies from being properly set (hense the “headers already sent” error.)
