  • It depends upon how much time the plugin review team have and how many other plugins that have to review.

It has been 2 days…. and have not got any reply so am little worried if they rejected it… as i have worked hard to create a plugin ??

They will tell you if it’s rejected. In the mean time, everyone who reviews plugins is a volunteer with at least one other job — be patient.

Try waiting a week or so. There are a lot of plugins and there’s only a very small team.

And we are having a massive backlog.

You’ll get an email one way or the other, but we have to ask you to be patient. Four of us, and a couple hundred plugins, where we have to download, review, and test them all? Takes a while.

Is it true that you guys don’t have any automated process to review the plugins?
We are spoiled with that the process often takes an hour or two. But now its about a week.

Correct. Plugins are reviewed by human beings.

    Ok, I am impressed!
Perhaps setting up some automated routines to search for common patterns, like adding jQuery, SimplePie, etc, etc?

Parts of the system are almost certainly automated but there is still a human element involved – for good reason. ??

    Yep, thats great!
    Thanks!

No, actually nothing’s automated at this time :/

We’re working on it, but unlike themes, Plugins are really ‘whatever someone imagines’ and the battle between innovations and standards is ongoing. So … nope. ?? Every plugin has every line of code read by a human, then (if it looks complex) we install it on a test install. Then we may ask someone else on the team for a second look…

If we have a standard routine, I’d have it just auto-reject the hundreds of plugins without zips attached, or missing readmes. That would save me a couple hours a week.
