When yoast is activated, site forms get submitted twice

This has been happening for some time.

When yoast SEO is activated, any webform on my site, gets dual submitted (or maybe the page is redirected and loaded twice in the same window)

I use custom forms. I have tried with all other plugins disabled.

Please advise!
