Where are all my comments?

  • Hi!
    All my comments on my blog are gone ??
    How can I solve this problem? I’ve searched everywhere for a solution but nothings seems to work. Please please help, I’m traveling and those comments contain messages from friends and family that are important to me.

    Hi there, have you looked in your dashboard in the Comments area to see if the comments were accidentally moved to the trash? If so, you can accidentally republish them using the Bulk Edit tool.

    I’ve checked that, but all the folders are totally empty. All is gone ??

    I’m sorry you seem to have lost your comments. You may want to contact your web host to see if they can restore your site to an earlier version from a backup, if they have one available.

    I’ve e-mailed them now, no idea about it really…
    I’ve used a plug-in for the past months that puts your website on hold, could it be that? No idea how that happened though…

    Generally a maintenance plugin shouldn’t touch your site’s database. I wish you the best of luck and hope you can recover your comments.
