• The plugin adds checkboxes to the comment form for people to signify acceptance of the Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. Where, if anywhere, are those consents stored? They aren’t in the WP comments table.

If I add a separate plugin to handle those consents, how do I turn off the GDPR Framework checkboxes? Even running the wizard again doesn’t give any option for that.

  • what would you use the framework for if not for the consent management? we won’t be able to track consents made in another plugin – only our own unfortunately

Ahh — that seems like a significant weakness! One of the biggest technical issues with the GDPR is trying to put together data into a single package, and it sounds like this plugin can’t do that.

I dread asking this, but does this mean that the plugin’s stored consents also can’t be managed with WordPress’s core data management functions?

If so, the plugin is worse than useless because it actually makes it harder to provide the requisite unified portable data retrieval, making me LESS compliant rather than more.
