Hello. I’m using Astra and Elementor. I meant to build a one-page scrolling site but in Customizer>Front-Page there are no Page Sections as I expected. How do I get the page sections option in there. I’m using the free versions.

Since I’ve searched all over google and wordpress for this answer for the last several hours, and I even wrote to a stranger who makes video tutorials to ask, I’ve started to wonder if i’m supposed to skip the front page sections and create them as blocks on the front page instead of linking to the internal pages I’ve created. Is that what developers are doing. It’s amazing how little I could find on this topic after searching for so long.

Another idea is to use Elementor with twenty seventeen which is what I started with but I wasn’t using Elementor and did not have enough control over elements.

Thank you for reading. I look forward to reading your replies.

  • Hi @kkrousseau ,

I am not sure what exactly you meant by the front page section setting. Just to let you know that the page content styling and section setting are handled by the editor whichever you are using, like elementor or default WordPress editor, i.e., Gutenburg.

Further, you can configure your header, footer, and other necessary things from the theme customizer options.

Please go through our documentation that might help you: https://wpastra.com/docs/

Hi, Thank you for replying so quickly! That’s fantastic. Really appreciate it.

I don’t see how to load a ss but here’s a url for an example of the customizer in twenty seventeen: https://cdn.wpcolt.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/section-added.png

For a one-pager on Astra am I meant to dispense with pages and page sections on the front-page (home) and just build the sections with elementor right on the the one front/home page? No, this doesn’t make sense because the astra starter sites have separate pages that appear on the front-page but they do not have “add page sections” as an options in Customizer>Homepage Settings.

(A reason it’s hard to get help in google is because the free and paid versions of themes, frameworks and plugins have the same name. Also, often one name is used for both the free and paid versions of both a theme and a plugin, as with Elementor.)

Thank you so much for the beautiful theme and for your responsiveness here. So great!

    Hi @kkrousseau ,

The feature that you are looking for is a default feature of the twenty-seventeen theme. Our theme does not provide that feature.

But if you using Astra then you can simply import the one-page starter site using our Starter site plugin and edit the content as per your need.

Here is an example of a One-page starter site: https://websitedemos.net/yoga-04/

I am sure this will help. ??

    Regards,
    Deepak
