Where are the reCaptcha settings in WP Mail SMTP?

    I have the WP Mail SMTP plugin installed (but not the Contact Forms by WPForms plugin) and use it for a simple contact form. When I created the page I somehow managed to insert a reCaptcha v2 into the contact form. Now, I’m wondering where I can edit the reCaptcha site and secret key?! I’ve looked the whole WP menu up and down and especially in the WP Mail SMTP settings, but to no avail. Any idea where these settings are?

    Hi fwinter1,

    Thanks for reaching out! It appears that you’re using the WPForms plugin on your WordPress site, and please note that WP Mail SMTP does not control reCAPTCHA.

    Please review this guide and you should be able to set up reCAPTCHA on your site.

    Thanks for your reply! Yes, you are right: In the meantime I have switched to using the WPForms plugin for the contact form. I made this switch because I wanted to switch to reCaptcha v3 for the whole site and my previous contact form was ‘stuck on’ v2. (I must have used some obscure contact form.)

    Anyhow, here’s a follow-up question: I have enabled reCaptcha v3 in the WPForm’s settings. However, on the page with the contact form I do not see the square reCaptcha logo in the bottom/right corner. Is this normal? How do I verify that anti-spam measures are active on that contact form?

    Hi @fwinter1,

    If you have implemented the Google reCAPTCHA correctly, you should be able to see the reCAPTCHA logo on your form page. If you have other CAPTCHA plugins, you may need to disable them as well.
