Where are the themes(what happened to the directory)& are old ones safe

    I am starting a new blog and picked out some favorites last week.
    Last night I looked and they weren’t in the theme directory.
    Also the theme directory looked like it shrunk in size by a lot.
    I knew the name of one theme, typed it in and in wasn’t there.

    Why is this?

    Also I have a theme I copied last week, is it safe to use with 2.6

  • Like SJ, I’m also wondering what happened to all the hundreds of themes that used to be available. There’s like 24 themes here now. And you used to be able to search by number of columns, fixed width, etc. I’m looking around for some information on what happened and it’s like they’ve all disappeared and no one is talking about it. I must have missed something. Can someone please shed some light on what happened to all the themes?

    I just checked that link and most of the themes I have been using aren’t there. I think you must be looking at something I’m not.

    Those themes are not working for wordpress 2.6 and no wordpress staff has addressed the issues as to why custom themes do not show up like they do in a theme preview. Lines are missing, colors are missing, it’s a mess.
