Thanks for reaching out. While there are no Web Stories specific dashboards within Site Kit. You can however view metrics for any particular story by using the “Search for individual page or post information” section, which you’ll find in the main Site Kit dashboard. Metrics for your Web Story will appear, assuming you’ve allowed Site Kit to insert your Analytics snippet. If Site Kit has inserted your Analytics snippet it will do so for your Story URLs also, so tracking for your stories can be viewed within the same property.

In relation to creating a new property for Web Stories this is not necessary. Your Web Stories use the same site URL, so ideally users apply the same property. To view Web Stories data in Google Analytics you can go to “Behavior > Events > Top Events

Let me know if you have any further queries on the above.

Thank You so much James. I might have to write a blog post on this because ALL of my clients have been following Allison R. Lancaster’s advice and creating a whole separate property.

No problem at all, happy to help. If not using Site Kit some users may wish to insert their preferred Analytics property manually within the Web Stories plugin. I would expect some users may prefer to use an individual Analytics property, solely for Stories. The support team over on the Web Stories plugin forum should be able to confirm best practices. I’ll see if I can get an update for you and share here.

I’ve checked this with the team and it’s up to users to decide if they want to use a separate Analytics property for their stories. Tt’s down to users personal preference.

Let me know if you have any further queries on this.
