  • Usually you will find wp-config.php in the root folder. But I’m having a hard time understanding what your wp-config.php have to do with the “media uploader”.

Can you be more specific? I also think you should be more specific in the title of this thread..

I this this site and I was following directions

and I didn’t understand the directions

The wp-config.php file is usually located in your WordPress root which also holds the wp-admin, wp-content, and wp-includes folders.

Regarding your isue with your add media button not working — have you tried temporarily disabling all plugins?

no I haven’t I will try that….. I also don’t know where the root of the wordpress is located

Those instructions appear to be for WordPress 3.5.

Are you running that version or 3.6.1?

Do you have a FTP or SFTP login?

If not, your webhost should be able to provide you with these credentials. Then you can login to your website with an FTP or SFTP client like FileZilla and browse to the WordPress root.

Before you try the tutorial — try temporarily disabling all plugins via WP-admin –> Plugins.
