Where can I find the CSS file for my theme?

Dashboard/Appearance/Editor or with FTP to your theme in wp-content/themes/ FTP Clients ? WordPress Codex or with the control panel at your host.

Thanks so much! I don’t have the Editor submenu in my Appearance menu. Is that normal?

We all have editor in admin < appearance < editor.
Here is a screenshot(picture)

That’s actually not showing up in my menu. I only have these submenus:

Themes
Widgets
Header

are you on a self-hosted wordpress that you installed?

Or a myname.wordpress.com type wordpress hosted site?

If its wordpress.com, you can’t edit anything…… and wordpress.com has their own support forums

I have Dreamhost and installed it through them, so the blog is hosted by Dreamhost at my address: https://blog.rosanafrancescato.com/

I changed the theme, but I had the same problem with the default theme.

if you aren’t sure, you probably don’t have it! lol

Its wordpress multi-user…..it has the theme editor disabled I believe
But that’s not your issue

I would now try deactivating all plugins temporarily to see if one of them is messing with your admin

Hey, thanks for all your help! Well, I tried deactivating all plug-ins, but still no luck.

Also, I looked for the files for the current theme I have installed–supposedly they’re in the folder /themes/2Exquisite, but I don’t see them there. And I do have files for another theme that I tried (unsuccessfully) to upload from outside wordpress.

This is just getting crazy … too complicated for something that should be simple! I do appreciate all the help, though.

shows you your style.css from browser……

you may need to re-upload WP core files by ftp
(the wp-admin and wp-includes folders)
seems thats the most common solution for folks with the same problem

(also, have you tried switching back to default theme at all?)

I can’t even figure out how to re-upload them. I have wp-admin and wp-themes folders, but I don’t see the current theme at all. I can’t see it in my remote files in Dreamweaver (though the others are there), and I can’t see how to do it with https://FTP.I must be missing something. I hate to take up your time like this.

I’ve had dreamweaver be pretty flaky for me..

I just use filezilla for ftp transfers

Oh, and I did switch back to the default theme, but there’s still no Edit menu. I might jsut give up on wordpress and try something simpler. Thanks again!!

Maybe I’ll try filezilla — but not sure how to transfer files that I can’t find in the first place. ??
